Abstract

The purpose of this case study is to have a better understanding the history, definition of modern day piracy, type of maritime piracy, regional variations of time piracy, and consequences of modern day piracy. Besides, it also includes the background, current situation, the maritime economic opportunities and the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of piracy in Southeast Asia and Gulf of den.

The modern piracy has a significant influence on the international trade, increase the cost of international maritime transport and there can found significant economic effects. Furthermore to examine and analyze the financial effects of maritime piracy in South East Asia and Gulf of Aden. In the case study also analysis of nature and trends of maritime piracy and the recommendations to ship company, ship masters and authorities.
