Abstract
This study examines the relationship between ICT industry and economic growth in Malaysia, from 2000 to 2008. PC sales in Malaysia which is a major component of ICT industry has been chosen to test the relationship between ICT industry and the economic growth. PC sales have tremendous significance on the people’s everyday life and are relevant in indicating the size of ICT usage, diffusion and penetration in the country. The outcome of this exploratory investigation confirms earlier finding that ICT plays an important and significant role in improving the economic growth.
