About
KMC

The library has been established since September 2008 at Razak Campus to support teaching, learning and research activities of Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UniRazak).The Library provides library collections, facilities and services to the students, lecturers and staff. The Library is managed by professional librarians who are committed to build, maintain and deliver high quality information resources. 

The collection covers all subject areas taught in programmes offered by UniRazak. The library is also equipped with adequate computing facilities such as computers and wireless networks.

Collections

Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Library provides access to an extensive collection of digital and physical resources for teaching, learning and research purposes. The resources of the whole Library are available to staff and students in the University and also to other users who want to use UNIRAZAK Library services.

Open Shelf Collections

Open shelf collection is a collection of library materials that can be checked out from the Library. The open collection consists of academic and general books in various subject areas.

Reference Collections

The reference collections refer to reference books such Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Biography and Directories. These are non-circulating items which are to be used inside the library only.

Redspot Collections

Redspot collections located at Quiet Room. Only one Redspot book may be borrowed at any one time and the duration of loan shall be 7 days.

Membership

  • Active students at UNIRAZAK are automatically registered as members of the Library. The student ID card functions as a library card for borrowing library materials.
  • Membership will be terminated upon discontinuing/ graduating from UNIRAZAK
  • UNIRAZAK staffs are automatically registered as members of the Library. The staff ID card functions as a library card for borrowing library materials.
  • Membership will be terminated upon staff resignation or by termination of employment.
  • Alumni members can apply for library membership by requesting the application to libref@unirazak.edu.my
  • An Alumni Library Membership card will be created for registered members.

Loan Policy

Librarians at the lending counter are available to assist users with transactions related to borrowing, returning and renewing of books. Library users are allowed to borrow library materials in accordance with the Library Loan Policy.

Renewal Policy

Library members should renew or return all Library materials by the due date to avoid overdue penalties. Library materials can only be renewed two times per item. The Library materials or interlibrary loan materials recalled by another library member cannot be renewed. Library items can be renewed by any one of the following methods:

Behaviour Policy
  • In order to maintain the good image of the University, Library members are reminded that they must be properly and decently attired when they enter  the Library in accordance to the University dress code.
  • All forms of electronic games are prohibited.
  • Anything of value should not be left unattended in the Library. The Library does not take responsibility for the loss of any personal items.
  • Any personal possessions brought into the Library should not be left unattended and should not cause obstruction to other users.
  • Accessing undesirable Internet sites and downloading, printing and circulating undesirable materials are strictly prohibited.
  • Using computer software which is not owned by the Library or any of the Library’s personal computers are prohibited.
  • Storing documents in the microcomputer network or hard disks are prohibited.
  • The following is items/activities are prohibited: loitering, soliciting, smoking, improper behaviour, obstruction of people and use of profanity.
Fine Policy
  • Borrowing privileges are suspended immediately for library members with outstanding charges of RM6.00 or more.
  •  The RM6.00 will include both unpaid bills and charges accumulating on overdue materials not yet returned.
